All four Burgundy varieties contribute to this blend (45% Pinot Noir, 41% Chardonnay, 7% Gamay, 7% Aligoté), although we let Pinot Noir and Chardonnay do the heavy lifting. Released in the first week of spring, hence the name. As a side note we have a rosé of the same blend currently in barrel, which will be released as a table wine. Both are light reds perfect for the warmer months. This isn't a field blend, with the two vineyards roughly 250km apart. Seems a long way but in France it's the equivalent of Gevrey-Chambertin to Epernay. Think red fruits, alpine herbs, good acid and a fine mousse!
